"Hop" into the New Year! (Freebie)

Do you set New Year Resolutions? I usually set 1 or 2 goals or promises to myself -- well meaning of course. Yet, as soon as the hustle and bustle of school starts back - I drift right back into my old habits.         Old habits certainly are easier, aren't they? When I think of New Year Resolutions here are some of my first thoughts....

hehe - I couldn't resist... Ok, on to seriousness!

The whole point to New Year Resolutions are to begin new and better habits. My friends at Freebielicious and I want to share some of our goals and resolutions for 2014 with you! To help you get a jump start on the new year we've also added some freebies that may help you reach your own similar goals.

Most people start off each new year wanting to make more healthy choices. Me too! But, today I want to share a different kind of resolution. My resolution is simple....use coupons! Here's the deal.....I'm a mom of 6 kids.....3 of them are teenagers! Do you have ANY clue just how much teenagers eat? What about 6 kids?

Seriously, I know my mom told me this 10 years ago, but I couldn't imagine just how much they could eat. I feel like I go to the store, bring it home, go to the store, bring it home - a vicious cycle. I'm not even sure it actually ever makes it to the refrigerator and cabinets. My Jordan (he's the tiny skinny 10 year old) guy. Watch him! As they are bringing in the bags from the car, I swear he takes a couple bags to his room for "safe keeping". We never see those groceries again.....just the boxes in the trash.

So, I NEED to pay attention to my food costs and try my best to keep them down. Our grocery bill is probably about $1500 per month!!!!!! That's a big hunk of money! I start off real good and clipping coupons, but then I just lose steam......I fall off the coupon wagon. It's time for me to get back on and stay on!

So, I'm getting organized with my coupons.... no more falling out of my purse, in the floorboard of my car, sticking out of my pockets. I am going full-fledge with a coupon binder! So, I decided to make myself a table of contents and page dividers to help me keep those coupons organized (where I can actually find the right ones and use them!) Here it is!

If you are determined to use coupons this year, you can download this HERE! I hope it's useful.....

Hop on over to Annie at The Moffatt Girls for another resolution and matching freebie!

  1. Jeannie, this is SO smart. I am horrible about keeping my coupons organized and so they don't get used as efficiently as they should. I am totally using this. Thanks friend.

  4. Do you shop at Target? I just found out about their app, Cartwheel. Target puts special offers on it which can be used on top of sales and coupons! If you don't have a smart phone you can do it at home on your computer and then print out a special bar code to bring to the store. I use my smart phone so I can look up items while I'm there and I don't have to print anything out. Best of all the app is free! I have gotten some really good deals with it.

  6. Jeannie! This is such a great idea! This will surely help people be organized!! I've never tried couponing but I always think about it. Maybe that's something I will start doing in 2014. If so, I'm coming to you for advice!!

  8. This is fabulous. My boys eat all the time too especially my oldest. I always say to him, we just left the dinner table and he has a frozen pizza or something else in the microwave. OMG they do eat you out of house and home.
