Polar Express Time - FREEBIE

I absolutely LOVE reading and watching Polar Express with my class each year. And, it's something my students remember all year long!

On our Polar Express Day, I come dress like the train conductor from the movie - wearing black slacks, long shirt, and black vest. I make the train conductor's hat (that's included in my Polar Express-ions pack). And, I blow the whistle to call all the kids aboard the Polar Express! ALL ABOARD!!!

I always let the kids wear pjs (which is always a fav favorite). Here is the note I send home to remind parents. You can grab my note for free here. I hope it's useful!

Here's another freebie for you: Polar Journey. It's a sight word game......with pre-primer words (you can grab a set of primer word cards in my pack).

If you like these freebies please follow my TpT store HERE for more freebies and other goodies.

Here's a peek at just some of the goodies inside my Polar Express-ions pack available on TpT.....

Notice there's a note to parents, beautiful Polar Express tickets, conductor's hat printable, letter from Santa (he can mail frozen bells to your whole class direct from the North Pole), and literacy activities galore.....

Here are more literacy activities.....word families and silent e work.

Writing craftivity and math center activities....oh and hot cocoa counting!

Addition work with recording sheets and pattern strips!

Oh and I love the Polar Express sign.....what a great way to welcome you kiddos on Polar Express Day!

I hope you enjoyed peeking inside.......Merry Christmas!!!!

  2. Thanks Jeannie! Your creations never cease to amaze me. :) Of course I pinned your cute note to use - not knowing it was by you - and when I went back to find it later I was so excited to see you were the creative one behind it. Thanks so much for sharing your hard work! ~Laura
