Ten-Frame Number Cards FREEBIE

Here are a couple of quick FREEBIES for you! I am already thinking of next school year and trying desperately to remind myself of how "they" are when we get them in kinder.... (I think there's a reason we forget...kind of like child-birth -- if we didn't forget, we'd never do it again :0) hehehehe!!!

Anyways, each year I begin teaching my kinders how to count and make numbers using a ten-frame. It's such a simple, yet highly effective visual for them to use.....

After modeling, I begin by putting these cards in a math tub where kids can practice making numbers by matching up how many counters to place on the card.

I made a set for 1-10 and another set of 11-20. I hope these are helpful!

Please leave a comment and let me know if you find these helpful.
What else could I provide that would be helpful to you?

  13. I love these and can not wait to use them but I noticed an error on number 14. THe number word was spelled incorrectly. The card reads forteen. If I am not mistaken it is spelled fourteen. I was wondering if you could possibly fix it and repost it? I love all your items and download so much from your blog. THank you

  15. I love these, I am going to replace the numeral cards I have in my room because it matches my teaching style. Then after I introduce the concept of 10-frames the number wall will be that more meaningful!!

  33. Thank you for sharing these Jeannie :) I think the tens frame is such a great way to teach kids numbers, addition, subtraction, etc. The list goes on! I've taught Pre-K through third and I have used them with every class.

  34. thank you so much for sharing. My son came home with a worksheet for double ten frames with 6 blocks and a numeral next to each block, without directions. :) It's been a long time since I was in the 1st grade.

  35. These are awesome! We play compare with the number 1 - 10 cards, the students each turn over a card and depending on if they are playing compare more or compare less whoever wins gets both cards (they are sized for 12 cards to fit on a page; 4 of each number) any way we could get these sized for that as well?
